MY STYLE &
APPROACH

My photography style is…

Warm. Stylish. Romantic. Modern. But most importantly… joyful.

Ever since my first wedding I photographed back in 2013, my work has been led by joy and emotion. So it’s no surprise that upon asking my past clients what their favourite photo from their wedding day is, it is almost always a joyful, candid frame. Capturing happy people is what makes my heart sing!

Because at weddings, the small moments matter. There’s a whole lot of emotion in a room at any given time and it’s my goal to capture that feeling in a bottle. Being able to relive all those feelings later on through your photographs is a truly magical thing.

It’s also my job to bring out the best in you, so you not only have beautiful relaxed wedding photos, but photos that most importantly feel like YOU.

Heartfelt photos that hold real meaning.

Picture this: your mum quietly shedding a happy tear in the corner at your ceremony. Your Nan coming over to give you a proud hug after you’ve walked through your confetti line. Your partner squeezing your hand whilst you both listen and take in a beautiful speech. The stolen glances. I understand that these are the moments that’ll really matter in the years to come and I want to capture it all.

A good photographer isn’t being paid to take photos. They’re being paid to pay attention.

Over the last decade, I’ve mastered the art of being omnipresent at weddings. Because we know, that moments can be over in a flash.

When I arrive on your wedding day, you can bet I’ll be coming straight in for a hug whilst we jump about together and exchange excitable squeals. From that moment on, my eyes and ears will be constantly open and seeking out opportunities in every corner. You’ll likely find me gravitating towards the table with infectious laughs, the big group circle hugging it out on the dancefloor and your bridesmaids getting on the tequila rosé train at the bar. And don’t worry, I’ll never interrupt the flow of any natural moments happening. Let’s be keeping it real.

However, whilst I generally adopt a more fly on the wall approach throughout the day, most of my couples do appreciate gentle guidance and prompts and I’ll always be ready to step in if you need some extra direction too. But it’s important to note…

No cheesy, over staged posing. Just gentle guidance to help the two of you feel the best version of yourselves.

I’m not gonna make the two of you place your hands into a heart over my lens, make you run away from non existent dinosaurs or photoshop you holding up a swan or anything like that.. Unless of course that’s your thing! But I’m probably not the girl for you (as I’m not sure my photoshop skills extend to prehistoric recreation).

The bottom line is, I want to give you beautiful, emotive, modern wedding photos that feel like a true representation of yourselves. I aim to do all this whilst blending with your guests as best as possible, so it feels as though you’re in the company of a good friend, rather than some random photographer your Uncle Dave booked. No offence, Dave.

Where to start? My wife (aah!) and I asked Jasmine to photograph our intimate legal wedding in February, and to say it was the best decision we could’ve made is an understatement. With just 10 people there, Jasmine felt like part of the family. My wife and I aren’t naturals in front of the camera, but she made us both feel relaxed, beautiful, and like we were just with our friend. She couldn’t have done enough for us on the run up to the day, and went above and beyond on the day itself. Our photos are just so stunning and we look at them thinking of how perfect the day was and how amazing Jasmine made us both feel. Hire Jasmine, she is simply a joy and so talented.

Got Questions?

I won’t scrimp! You can expect a minimum of 600 high res edited images from full day (9 hours) coverage. I’ll discard any duplicates, blurry or closed eye photos, so you’ll only be left with the good stuff. Don’t worry, I’ll never hold back any images I think you’ll want.

Of course! Whilst the majority of your day will be captured from a more unobtrusive angle, I totally understand the importance of having formal group photos and ensuring you have your ride or dies captured alongside you. I encourage group shots to be taken throughout your drinks reception whilst everyone’s looking their best, and to keep the list to a sensible number (I recommend no more than 10) so that you can fully enjoy your drinks reception.

If there’s one good thing to come out of the pandemic, it’s that wedding photographers across the UK have pulled together to establish emergency wedding groups, should for any reason we need to urgently find cover. We’re a force to be reckoned with in a crisis and we will do whatever it takes to ensure you are not left without a photographer on your wedding day. I will always endeavour to give you as much notice as possible if I think I’ll be unable to attend your wedding day, and provide a list of options for you to choose from.

Of course! Should you wish to book in an additional hour or two, my hourly rate of £250/h will apply.

Absolutely! Having a second shooter is the perfect solution if you want to prioritise capturing both partners during the morning preparations, you’re having a large wedding party, or you simply want to ensure you have multiple angles captured throughout the day. I only work with a close circle of wedding photographers who I know personally, and trust will provide you with a high quality service I would expect. Please drop me a message if you’re considering a second and I’d be happy to share further info.

I’ve tailored my wedding packages so that they’re inclusive of all travel for weddings in mainland UK. So you can rest easy knowing there won’t be any extra sneaky fees for mileage or accommodation costs.

I use two professional mirrorless Canon R6 bodies and L series prime lenses. My flashguns will likely stay in my camera bag until the evening party gets underway (as I’m all about that natural light), however I’m equipped for all lighting scenarios and I have necessary back up equipment for your peace of mind.

Yay! If you haven’t done so already, please fill out my contact form via my website so I can check my availability. If I’m available for your date, we can schedule in a time for a coffee chat over zoom so we can get to know each other and talk through your exciting plans before making it official. Once you’re definitely happy to go ahead, I’ll do a little happy dance before popping over your contract and 25% deposit invoice for you to sign/settle to secure the date.

1000%! Upon booking, I send all of my couples a complimentary welcome wedding magazine, which is packed with lots of handy tips on how to get the best out of your wedding photography experience with me, and of course top supplier recommendations including incredible videographers I love to work with. I will always recommend videographers who adopt a similar approach to my own; I work best with unobtrusive, contemporary videographers.

For wedding bookings over 6 hours, a hot meal is always super appreciated. Most venues can be quite far away from any shops/restaurants, so being able to have a break onsite is always preferred. It also means I’m close by so won’t risk missing out on capturing anything!

Absolutely. Keeping your images safe will always be my number one top priority. I shoot on dual cards in each camera body throughout the day, so I have a second back up card should one card fail for any reason. My cards are kept on my person at all times throughout the day too. I have separate hard drives for backing up your images once I’m home and I NEVER delete any files, nor will I clear any cards until your gallery has been delivered in full. All my equipment is insured and I have public liablity and professional indemnity insurance too for your peace of mind. If your venue requires my insurance documents, please do get in touch and I’ll be happy to provide them.
