Rosy & Pat – Vintage Wedding at Lillibrooke Manor – September 2019

by | Feb 10, 2020

September Weddings will always be my favourite. The beginning of this change in season always makes me appreciate and welcome that subtle change over from warm summer air and long balmy evenings, to magical golden light and warm autumnal colours. Rosy & Pat were lucky to have some of that lovely September sunshine, which really brought their vintage inspired wedding alive!

Rosy wore a beautiful Galliano, vintage style dress in lace with a halter neck, paired with silk ballet pumps fastened with ivory ribbon. And doesn’t she look amazing?!

Their Vintage Red Bus got Rosy to the church on time and then later took their wedding party over to the reception at the gorgeous Lillibrooke Manor. Each guest even had their own retro bus ticket printed out for them!

After confetti had been thrown and guests had helped themselves to a glass from the Pimms stand in the garden, we headed out into the grounds for some portraits. We were so fortunate to have such gorgeous golden light.. Rosy and Pat even had personalised Ray Bans which they decided to wear throughout! Rosy also wore a beautiful hand made flower crown which she’d swapped for her veil after we’d finished the official family photos.

Rosy and Pat are film fanatics, so of course this had to fit in their wedding theme somewhere! They decided to play some of the best film scores whilst guests sat down for dinner, to say it was an epic entrance would be an understatement! Photographing the table details had never been so dramatic!

After the wedding breakfast and speeches had finished, we headed back out for 5 quiet minutes for some photos under the festoon lighting, because why not! The evening festivities soon after got underway with cuting the cake and Rosy and Pat’s first dance, followed by a dance to ‘Tiny Dancer’ for just Rosy and her Dad – their favourite song. Going to stop now before I get emotional again…

It was a pleasure to once again work alongside Hannah at Hannah Films, capturing all of the magic of the day on video beside me too.
