Liv & Matt – Rustic Country Wedding at Gate Street Barn – August 2019

When the gorgeous Gate Street Barn opened back in 2018, I knew I had to add it to my wedding venue bucket list! Located in the heart of the Surrey countryside, it was perfect for Liv & Matt’s rustic, country themed wedding… so when they got in touch and told me all about their dream wedding plans for their big day in August, I couldn’t wait to get involved! It was so lovely getting to know Liv & Matt during their Autumnal Pre Wed shoot… we had a gorgeous golden hour stroll through the woods, and of course their dog Brix had to join us! 

Upon arrival on the day, the barn was beautifully decorated with flowers from floor to ceiling, by the talented Ella & Laura at Twigs and Twine floral design. 

Liv wore an incredible waterfall style tulle dress and looked like a real life princess for the day!  

Liv & Matt wrote their own vows to each other during their ceremony, which was a lovely personal touch. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house! After the confetti had been thrown, their  guests were able to enjoy a drinks reception in the garden along with delicious canapés provided by the wonderful team at Tandem Catering. 

After dinner we took a stroll down the country paths, which made a stunning backdrop for some portraits – and of course the bridal party had to join in the smoke bomb action! 

Capturing all the action beside me was the talented Jake at Jake Burgess Films and his fiancee Millie; always a pleasure to work alongside Jake and highly recommend his videography services! 

Their amazing country party then got underway following Liv & Matt’s first dance…  Chris from Chess Disco created a wonderful personalised playlist for Liv & Matt, including all the best country tunes along with some classic wedding bangers which kept the dance floor full all night! We left on such a high!
